How a 21st-Century Academic Ecosystem Is Approaching AI and Technology

We teach the ethical use of AI directly.
Rather than pretend AI does not exist, we taught a full course on using it ethically. Every scholar and family also signs our AI policy agreement, which is intentionally strict. Naming our expectations up front makes the boundaries clear for everyone.

We teach real research skills, without a screen.
Our scholars learned to navigate the library, use the Dewey Decimal system, call a book, and conduct their own independent research without relying on technology. We also introduce the Library of Congress Classification, since that is the system most college and research libraries use. Teaching both prepares scholars for university-level work before they get there.
